Build Partnerships
Stronger together, lasting change
Building partnerships for sustainable impact
Partnerships are the foundation of lasting change. In Sierra Leone, no single organization can address the maternal health crisis alone. By working hand-in-hand with midwifery schools, hospitals, government institutions, and international allies, Hawa’s Hope ensures that training, resources, and knowledge do not remain isolated efforts but become part of a stronger system. Partnerships amplify impact, extend reach, and create structures that continue to save lives long after a single training ends.
Why Partnerships Matter
Partnerships are the backbone of meaningful, sustainable change. They build trust, share responsibility, and create local ownership that lasts far beyond one project. By joining forces with local leaders and institutions, we:
- Strengthen midwifery schools with faculty development and curriculum support
- Equip hospitals and clinics with practical training and teaching resources
- Align with national health goals to ensure impact beyond single trainings
- Bring global expertise into local contexts while respecting culture and traditions
Working with National Initiatives
Hawa’s Hope does not work in isolation. Our training aligns with Sierra Leone’s national health strategies. By working within these initiatives, we strengthen the health system and extend our impact to mothers across the country.
- Free Healthcare Initiative
- National Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child & Adolescent Health Program
Our Network in Action
Midwifery Schools
Freetown, Makeni, Bo, COMAHS and Kenema – building strong training programs and future faculty.
Hospitals & Birthing Centers
Partners host workshops and provide clinical settings for hands-on learning.
Government & Boards
Collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Nursing & Midwife Board to align with national goals.
International Allies

Looking Ahead Together
Our vision for the next years is clear: deepen partnerships, expand to new training sites, and build even stronger local ownership. By 2027, we plan to:
- Launch new collaborations in Kenema and other regions
- Offer faculty development workshops to train the next generation of midwife educators
- Support scholarship programs for disadvantaged students
- Develop long-term agreements with the Ministry of Health for scaling training nationwide
